CataBatch FAQ

Answers about tools, credits, products, collections, images, Excel, SEO and security.

General

What is CataBatch?+

A Shopify catalog workflow tool for bulk products, collections, variants, images, Excel, cleanup and practical SEO checks.

Is CataBatch publicly available?+

CataBatch is currently in desktop beta. The Shopify app purchase flow and public listing are being prepared.

Credits

What happens when my credits run out?+

Purchase the same package again or choose another package. You do not have to move to a larger tier.

Do unused credits expire?+

Purchased credits are valid for 12 months. At expiry, 50% of eligible unused credits roll forward under the product terms.

What uses one credit?+

Each product, variant, collection or image record changed successfully in Shopify uses one credit.

What remains free?+

Synchronization, reads, scans, analysis, Excel export, file loading and preview use no credits.

Catalog and Excel

If I change five fields on one product, how many credits are used?+

One, when those fields are changed for the same product in the same apply operation.

Do images and variants count separately?+

Yes. Every successfully changed image or variant is its own Shopify record.

Does importing Excel immediately change Shopify?+

No. CataBatch validates and previews proposed changes before the apply step.

Do I have to use Shopify CSV?+

No. CataBatch provides its own Excel export, import and preview workflow for supported fields.

Security

Can another customer see my store?+

The backend is designed to require authenticated shop membership and shop-scoped access. Final two-user, two-store isolation testing is a mandatory public-release gate.

Are failed changes charged?+

Definitely failed, canceled and unprocessed changes do not consume credits. Uncertain outcomes are not blindly retried.

Every feature. Choose only the credits you need.

CataBatch packages unlock the same product features. Select a one-time credit package based on the number of successful catalog records you expect to change.
